Following a stabbing in the Dagenham, Reede Road area, a 15-year-old male has been formally charged with murder.

It follows reports of men armed with machetes near Dagenham Heathway Underground Station on Friday, just before midnight, prompting police to respond.

The adolescent has also been charged with attempted murder in relation to the victim who survived, and possession of a dangerous weapon, according to Scotland Yard. He will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court today.

18-year-old Jordan Kukabu, of Romford, Essex, was stabbed to death.

Another male in his 20s was transported to the hospital with a puncture wound. His condition does not jeopardise his life.

Everyone is in custody.
