Mawien Mawien, 39, of Portland Close, Chadwell Heath, appeared at the Old Bailey today and denied a charge of murder.

Trei Daley, aged 26 and from Bromley, sustained fatal injuries after being stabbed on February 11 close to the Colour Factory club located in White Post Lane in Hackney Wick.

The 39-year-old entered a plea of not guilty in relation to the charge of killing Trei, plus the accusation of injuring another person with intent to cause serious bodily injury and possessing an bladed weapon in Queen’s Yard in Hackney Wick.

Christopher Appiah-Blay, 35, of Wick Road in Hackney, is also charged with murdering Trei.

Appiah-Blay will be asked to plea at a later date due to a delay in prison transport to the Old Bailey.

The trial is scheduled for January 2024.
