Hornsey’s Taylor stabbed pregnant girlfriend 40 times in ’emotive court case’

Liam Taylor murdered Ailish Walsh

Liam Taylor, 37, of Hornsey, murdered his girlfriend, 28, who was 22 weeks pregnant by stabbing her 40 times with scissors in a horrifying attack. Prior to sentencing, a judge has said it is only a matter of “how long it will be before the parole board determines his release”.

Liam Taylor went into a rage when his pregnant girlfriend attempted to remove him from her property in Hackney, East London, because he appeared to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. In response, Taylor grabbed the scissors and repeatedly plunged it into her before fleeing.

The victim’s father called 999 an hour later as he found his daughter unconscious, in a pool of blood, and covered by a hi-vis jacket. First responders declared her dead on arrival. It is believed she leaves behind 4 kids.

Later, tests revealed Taylor had cocaine, cannabis, and alcohol in his system, and this was still present the following morning.

At his arrest he said “It’s crazy how one moment of madness can change your whole life.”

The victim did SMS friends to say she was trying to remove Taylor from the flat because he was high. A friend who phoned her minutes before Taylor left the property heard screaming in the background.

The court that Taylor was previously imprisoned for year for attacking his own mother with a metal pole, and cautioned for attacking his sister at age 16.
