Redbridge Wall of Shame – May

Redbridge Council continues its assault on fly-tippers and is asking the community for assistance in identifying individuals captured on camera dumping trash in Redbridge.

CCTV footage published for the May edition of the Redbridge Wall of Shame features five segments of individuals dumping their trash in Ilford on Woodlands Road, Ilford Lane, and Ley Street, as well as Chadwell Heath Lane.

In the video, lawbreakers, who face a £400 fine if captured, can be seen fly-tipping by trees and a wall on the street, as well as by trash cans, which is also illegal.

Please contact Redbridge Council at Cleansing.Services@redbridge.gov.uk if you can identify any of the perpetrators captured on camera.

Redbridge Wall of Shame is part of the council’s ongoing efforts to establish a cleaner Redbridge as part of its Our Streets strategy. The council will penalise or prosecute any individual or business discovered depositing trash in the municipality.

In addition to enforcement actions, other council-led fly-tipping initiatives, such as community engagement work, free online seminars on waste reduction and appropriate disposal, and targeted fly-tipping operations, are being implemented.

The council also provides a Bulky Waste Collection Service that entitles inhabitants to one complimentary collection per year (up to three items). Visit www.redbridge.gov.uk/bins-waste-and-recycling/book-a-bulky-waste-or-large-item-collection for further information, including fees for additional collections.

Residents can readily report fly-tipping via the council’s Report It page: https://www.redbridge.gov.uk/report-it/.

The council records and investigates all fly-tipping complaints, taking enforcement action if evidence is found. The council intends to remove all reported fly-tipping on council land and the highway within twenty-four hours of notification.
